Ingredients you will need

Eggs: Just simple, classic eggs are all you really need for this air fryer recipe!

Olive oil: Any kind of non-stick cooking spray works fine. I like to use olive oil, but avocado oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, or safflower oil are also fine options.

The best way to use spray oil in an air fryer is with an oil mister, aerosol sprayers can damage the coating in your air fryer basket.

Salt and black pepper: Feel free to add other seasonings to your eggs as you like. Some of my favorites are paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

How to make eggs in air fryer

  1. Prepare the air fryer. Preheat the air fryer and while you’re waiting for it to heat up, spritz the mini cake pans with your oil of choice.
  2. Crack the eggs. Break your eggs and add one to each cake pan, being careful not to get any shell pieces in there. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings.
  3. Air fry eggs. Cook for about 3 minutes in the air fryer, or until cooked all the way through.

How to serve fried eggs

I love serving my fried eggs on avocado toast! To make it, just take two slices of your favorite bread, toast and butter them, add a few slices of avocado, then top it with your air fried eggs.

You could also add an air fryer fried egg to the top of a salad, to a bowl of ramen, as an ingredient for a breakfast sandwich, and more! The possibilities are really endless, and you can serve these as you would any fried egg.

You can also add some shredded cheese on top of the eggs before air frying. Cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and mozzarella cheese are all good options.

Are eggs good in the air fryer?

Yes, the air fryer is a great way to make cooked eggs! And it doesn’t stop at fried eggs either. This is an easy method to make eggs a whole variety of different ways. You can make air fryer hard-boiled eggs too, which is much easier and quicker than waiting for water to boil.

Another option is to whisk up your eggs, mix in ingredients like cheese, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomato, onion, spinach, ham, or bacon, and use the air fryer to make a super easy omelet.

However you make them, it’s important to preheat the air fryer for even and thorough cooking, if your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat setting, just let it run for 5 minutes before adding your eggs.

What’s the best way to cook eggs in an air fryer?

I recommend using some kind of mini cake pans (4″ is the size I used) to hold your eggs while they air fry. If you have a larger air fryer, you could even use something like a cupcake tin to make 6 air fried eggs at the same time. Large eggs may need an extra minute or two of cook time.

Just be sure to give the tins a good spritz with oil so the eggs don’t get stuck! Or, place a piece of parchment paper in the bottom of the pan to make it easy to lift the eggs right out.

When it comes to cooking time, it can vary depending on the size and strength of your air fryer. You may also need to adjust the cooking time depending on whether you like runny yolks or more solid ones.

After a few times, you’ll figure out the perfect time that will cook the eggs to your liking.
